events and processes

.

Instead of trying to amend our instinctive, flying-billiard-ball picture of atomic physics to make it consistent with quantum experiments and eliminate the paradoxes which result from such a concrete picture, another strategy is to focus, not on the particles, but on the events they manifest and the information they carry.

To do this, we must abandon the natural idea of a universe made of objects and instead see reality as made up of happenings – events and processes.
