We live by waters breaking out of the heart. —Anne Carson

.

(Air) enters into earth and water; and fire rises into air. That only which tends upward is life-giving; and that which tends downward is subservient to it.

Moreover, all that descends from on high is generative; and that which issues from below is nutritive. Earth, which alone stands fast in its own place, receives all that is generative into itself, and renders back all that it has received.

The world is sacred, of course,
it is full of gods, numina,
great powers and presences.
We give some of them names –
Mars of the fields and the war;
Vesta the fire;
Ceres the grain;
Mother Tellus the earth;
the Penates of the storehouse.
The rivers, the springs.
And in the stormcloud and
the light is the great power
called the father god.
But they aren’t people.
They don’t love and hate,
they aren’t for or against.
They accept the worship due them,
which augments their power,
through which we live.

—Ursula K. Le Guin (1929 - 2018)

This material dimension is just samsara. See it and you see samsara for what it’s worth. But what does it mean?… Nothing but shifting names and changing forms. But when the ego drops away you experience this Flux… And it is beautiful not just because it is dazzling, but because the act of seeing it as it is necessitates the ego’s oblivion… The Veil is lifted and you see clearly…

walking meditation

.

Take my hand.
We will walk.
We will only walk.

We will enjoy our walk
without thinking of arriving anywhere.

Walk peacefully.
Walk happily.
Our walk is a peace walk.
Our walk is a happiness walk.

Then we learn
that there is no peace walk;
that peace is the walk;
that there is no happiness walk;
that happiness is the walk.

We walk for ourselves.
We walk for everyone
always hand in hand.

Walk and touch peace every moment.
Walk and touch happiness every moment.

Each step brings a fresh breeze.
Each step makes a flower bloom under our feet.

Kiss the Earth with your feet.
Print on Earth your love and happiness.

Earth will be safe
when we feel in us enough safety.

dear one

.

The moment I die
I will try to come back to you
as quickly as possible.

I promise it will not take long.
Isn’t it true
I am already with you
as I die each moment?

I come back to you
in every moment.
Just look,
feel my presence.

If you want to cry,
please cry,
And Know
that I will cry with you.

The tears you shed
will heal us both.
Your tears and mine.
The earth I tread this morning
transcends history.

Spring and Winter are both present in the moment.
The young leaf and the old leaf are really one.
My feet touch deathlessness,
And my feet are yours.

Walk with me now.
Let us enter the dimension of oneness
and see the cherry tree blossom in Winter.

Why should we talk about death?
I don’t need to die
to be back with you.

wiggly order

.

When you look at the clouds they are not symmetrical. They do not form fours and they do not come along in cubes, but you know at once that they are not a mess...They are wiggly but in a way, orderly, although it is difficult for us to describe that kind of order. Now, take a look at yourselves. You are all wiggly...We are just like clouds, rocks and stars. Look at the way the stars are arranged. Do you criticize the way the stars are arranged?
